Assuming the role of teaching assistant and assisting with teaching material.A good student assistant will work well under pressure and be able to multitask in addition to completing their studies. To be successful as a student assistant you should be organized, mature and responsible. Good manual dexterity necessary for specified tasks. The student assistant role may include responsibilities such as printing, proofreading, communicating with students and staff, and filing. Duties may include library searches, general office work, data entry, assisting patrons, book repairs, and maintaining statistics. Assistant Responsibilities: Greeting and directing visitors, answering questions, and responding to complaints and requests. Assist staff with daily, routine library operations. Attending seminars and periodically lecturing classes. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
